Chaweng Lake View

Chaweng Lake View is the biggest outdoor venue in Koh Samui.  During most festive seasons, there will be a night market held around the Function Hall area of the lake.   The night market is full of different stores that sells from clothing to food and games.

Chaweng Lake View is also the venue for 3 parties per month.  The parties are Escape (or Half Moon) Parties and Black Moon Party.  Escape Parties are held 1 week before and after the Full Moon Party (which is held in Koh Phangan) whereas the Black Moon Party is exactly two weeks after the Full Moon Party.  These parties tend to continue to early hours of the morning.

Pubs like Reggae Pub are located along one side of this lake. There are many other pubs located along the same side.  The Bungy Jump is also located along the same stretch.

During the monsoon season, there is a tendency for the lake to overflow. In the year 2005, the water level rose so high that the road alongside the lake is completely submerged.  However, the government has been improving the drainage system since then and over the last two years, there is hardly any flooding from the lake.
